Welcome to Wanamaker's!

Wanamaker's is run by Justin & Joanie Wanamaker, a husband and wife team in Orange County, New York.  They live with their two fur children, Roxie (an English Bulldog) and Lani (an Australian Labradoodle).  They love to learn as much as they can about living naturally and love to embrace the old-fashioned way of doing things.  

 

The Story of Wanamaker's: 

Joanie: "Sometimes you have that eureaka moment, and that's basically how Wanamaker's got started.  It all started when Justin took up hunting.  Most hunters use a cover scent spray and cover scent soap to help hide their scent while hunting.  Like most people we never thought about what was in the products we used.  Justin went to the store and bought a cover scent spray and soap and came home to use them.  Right away, everytime Justin came near me, I started to feel extremely itchy and like my skin was on fire.  I have had eczema all my life and very sensitive skin.  We finally realized I was allergic to the products that Justin had bought to hide his scent.  When we finally sat down to read what exactly was in these products we were shocked to find over 30 different chemicals listed!  So we started thinking, can we make a product that would not only be safe for Justin to use, but also contain all-natural ingredients.  We started doing research and started experimenting. We started learning about the ingredients and chemicals found in everyday products and just how harmful they really are.  As we learned more we started adopting an all-natural lifestyle.  Our promise to you is that our products are simply pure with a purpose."
